言うだけではわかりません。実際に来て頂いて見てもらうのが1番です。そのために、工場はショールームをコンセプトに造りました。口でいくら偉そうなことを言っても、信じて頂けるかはわかりません。でも、実際に来て頂き、設備やどういう気持ちで、どういう人が作っているかを見て頂くのが1番伝わります。「百聞は一見に如かず」。ジットは従業員みんなが一番の財産です。そのためには勉強がもっともっと必要です。学校ではお金を払って勉強をしていましたが、会社は違います。お金をもらって勉強ができます。チャンスを与えられているのです。私を含め、社員がどれだけ勉強をして行動するかで、将来が決まります。売上が決まります。利益が決まります。来て頂いたお客様に安心して頂けるような、恥ずかしくないような人に成長をしてください。『人は心、人は全てです』 ですので、品質とは出来上がった物だけに対するものだけではありません。そこに込めた社員一人ひとりの想いも品質の1つです。私達社員一人ひとりも見に来てください。
A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
Words alone cannot be understood. It is best to actually see something for yourself. With this idea in mind, we built our office to be a showroom. No matter how important our words seem, we cannot know if they will be believed. However, our feelings are best communicated when customers actually visit our office and experience the atmosphere of JIT and see what kind of people are making the products. “A picture is worth a thousand words.” JIT’s most important asset is its employees. Because of this, study is even more important. At school you pay money to study; however, a company is different. At a company, you actually earn money and are able to study. This is a chance for you. Our future depends on how much everyone here at JIT, myself included, studies. Our sales are determined by how much we study. Our profits are determined by how much we study. Please grow into people who give a sense of peace to those customers who visit the office. Do not be embarrassments. Remember, “humans are the heart. Humans are everything.” This means that quality is not simply about what is produced but also the thoughts and feelings of each and every employee. Please come to see us.

21日に甲府ホールで2009年ジット感謝祭第2弾を行いました。沢山の方に来て頂き、来場者は800名にもなりました。ご来場を頂いたお客様をはじめ、ご協力頂いた、ヴァンフォーレ甲府の皆様、協力会社の皆様、出店者の皆様、そしてセレモニーの社員、ジットの社員に本当に感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。


しかし課題もたくさんありました。セレモニーも終わった当日の夜、全員で反省会を行いました。これからまだまだ改善の余地はあります。100点を目指して全力で行いますが、1度に100点は取れません。次回の三郡ホールのイベントでは今回のことを踏まえ、もっともっとよい感謝祭になるよう、チームジットで一丸になって。山梨を元気にしたい。少しでも多くの方の笑顔がみたい。それがジットの思いです。感謝の気持ちを込め、全員で行動をお願いします。継続は力。来年も当然。本年は第11弾まで全力投球します。
Festival of Thanks at Kofu Hall
On June 21st, JIT held its 2nd “Festival of Thanks” at Kofu Hall. Over 800 people attended yesterday’s event. I feel so grateful to all those who came: the customers, JIT employees, the workers, the vendors, and those from the Ventforet soccer team. Thank you so much.
However, there were also many challenges throughout the day. All of the JIT Ceremony employees met last night following the event to review what happened throughout the day. Although we aim for 100% and put our entire beings into our work, it is impossible to achieve 100% in one try. Keeping in mind the lessons we learned at yesterday’s event, Team JIT is working as one to make this week’s event at Sangun Hall an even better “Festival of Thanks.” I want to invigorate Yamanashi. I want to see smiles, even if they are only small ones, on the faces of many customers. These are the thoughts and feelings of JIT. I ask all of you to act in a spirit of thanksgiving. Perseverence is power Next year is a given. This year we will continue to work as hard as we can until the 11th [and final] event [of the year] is over.

毎朝朝礼当番が、うれしかった話をしたあと、経営理念の唱和をしています。本日の朝礼当番は、4月に入社した新入社員でした。朝礼当番のあとに続いて理念を唱和しますが、緊張のため、少しつかえてしまいました。その姿を同じ事業部の仲間がとても心配そうにみていました。一生懸命に頑張っている姿と、周りの心配そうな顔はとても微笑ましかったです。感情は顔に出ます。一方、自分には関係ないという人も中にはいました。特に上司はもっともっと部下を気にしてください。部下は表面よりも中身をみて、しぐさをみて、表情をみて、上司を判断します。チームジットが一丸にならなければ、目標達成できませんし、社会貢献もできません。信頼関係がなければ良い仕事はできないのです。もっともっと興味を持ち、かかわって、チームジットとして前進していきましょう。
月曜日に体調を崩し、水・木曜日とお休みをした社員がいました。体調を崩してしまったのは仕方がありません。月曜日に体調が悪かったら、我慢をせずに休む。無理をして2・3日も休んでいたのでは、逆に周りに迷惑がかかります。そしてに何よりも辛いのは自分自身です。
体調管理は自分しかできません。特に土日の私生活の過ごし方は大切です。1週間の疲れをとり、また次の週から元気に頑張れるように、休みがあります。自分の好きなことをして、リフレッシュするのも一つの休み方ですが、体調を崩しては意味がありません。私生活はすぐに仕事に影響をします。良い仕事をするためには、まずは「心」と「体」の健康が必要です。自分自身でしっかりと体調管理をお願いします。
Health Management
During the daily morning assembly, after he shares a pleasant anecdote from his life, the leader for that day leads everyone in reciting our creeds. Today’s leader was one of the new employees who entered JIT this past April. He tried to lead everyone in the recitation of the creeds but, due to nerves, he stumbled a little, making those in his department look rather concerned for him. I was so pleased to see both this new employee trying so hard as well as those around him who looked concerned. You could see their concern written all over their faces. On the other hand, however, there were people there who thought the new employee’s problems had nothing to do with them. Here I ask the managers in particular to pay attention to those beneath you. Your subordinates are looking more at what is inside of you than your outward appearance. They are watching your behavior and your facial expressions and they are judging you. If JIT cannot unite as one, then we will not be able to achieve our goals or contribute to society. Without a relationship of trust, we cannot do our jobs well. Take a greater interest [in those around you] and, [working together] as Team JIT, let us go forward.
This past week one of our employees was out sick from Monday through Thursday. While getting sick is an unavoidable occurance, if you do not feel well on Monday, do not try to stick it out but [stay home and] rest. If you push yourself unreasonably, you will have to rest for 2 or 3 days, therein causing trouble to your coworkers. Above all, however, [remember that] pain is all a matter of the individual.
You are the only person who can take care of your health. Particularly important is how you spend your Saturdays and Sundays. We have these two vacation days to recover from exhaustion from the previous week and to reenergize ourselves for the upcoming week. Also one way to spend your vacation day(s) is to do what you like and refresh yourself, if you get sick there is no meaning in your taking a vacation. How you spend your personal time has an immediate effect on your work. [Therefore,] in order to do your work well, it is important for you to first take care of your heart and body. Please be vigilant in taking care of your health.

努力も勉強もしないで、人は成長しませんしリーダーにはなれません。いくら口で言っても行動が伴っていなければ、部下は絶対についてきません。周りは普段の行動をみてあなたを判断します。いくら正論をいっても、いくら叱っても、言っている本人ができていなければ、部下がやるわけがありません。
トーマスエジソンが言う通り、成功の要因は、『ひらめき』 や 『才能』 (インスピレーション)の占める割合が、たった1パーセントにすぎず、残りの99パーセントは 『努力』や『汗』 (パースピレーション)によるものです。
叱られるからという理由でやったり、やらなかったりしたのでは困ります。自分の心が恥ずかしいと思って、勉強も仕事も取り組まなければ意味がありません。やらされているうちは、成長はありません。仕事を辞めてから、離婚をしてから、死んでしまってから気付いたのでは遅すぎます。もう手遅れなのです。勉強は誰のためでもない自分のためにするものです。自分がまだまだ勉強しないとだめだなと思ったら、思っているだけではなく、行動をしてください。思うだけでは誰にでもできます。自分に対して恥ずかしくないような行動をお願いします。気づいたら直ぐやることです。
先日、社員が婚姻届を提出し籍を入れました。はじめに報告を受けた時には、正直まだまだ半人前で、大丈夫なのかという不安もありました。でも、「奥さんのため、子供のために全力で頑張っていく」と強い意志を持っていましたし、お互いのご両親からも許しを得たと聞きましたので、私も心から祝福をしました。これから本当に様々なことがあると思います。悩むことも、躓くこともあると思います。でもお互いを信じ、子供や自分たちの幸せのために、お互いのご両親への感謝の気持ちで、一生懸命、今を全力で生きてください。そうすれば必ず子供も、周りの人も見ていてくれます。応援してくれます。周りには先輩方が沢山います。困ったときには、相談をしながら、幸せな家庭を築いていってください。 私も全力で支援します。
Study
If you do not work hard and study, you will neither grow as a person nor will you be able to become a leader. No matter how ofter say something, if your actions do not match your words, your subordinates absolutely will not follow you. Those around you are watching what you do and judging you. No matter how much the person in charge is able to give sound arguments or censures, if his actions do not back up his words then there is no reason to expect that his subordinates will follow his words.
According to Thomas Edison, the primary factor in [determining] success is not “a flash” or “talent” or “inspiration,” which in total comprise no more than 1% success. Rather, success is 99% is hard work and perspiration.
It is not good to wait until you’ve been scolded before you do something. Be embarrassed [by your lack of action] and challenge yourself in study and work. There is no meaning [to life] if you do not. You do not grow doing things you are made to do. Quitting a job, getting a divorce, only noticing things after you’re dead: all of these things happen because you were slow. It is already too late. Study is not something you do for others but rather for yourself. If you think, “I still have a long way to go in my study,” act. Anyone can simply think. I ask that you act in a way that will not embarrass yourself. Once you notice something, act immediately.
The other day, one of our employees submitted his marriage registration in the family register. When I first heard about this, one half of me thought him very honest and full of integrity while the other half was worried if he would be all right. However, once I heard his empassioned words of “I am going to work with all my might for my wife and child,” as well as the news that their parents had given the two permission to marry, I also gave them my blessing. I think that they will face many things in the future: worries, slips, etc. However, please believe in each other and work for the happiness of your child and yourselves. Be grateful to your parents and work hard every day. If you do so, both your child and those around you will see [your hard work] and will support you. Around you are many people with more experience than you. When you get upset, talk to them and work to build a happy family. I, too, will support you with all my power.

赤ちゃんは本当に素直ですので積極的です。何でもかんでも口にいれようとするし、10回転んでも、100回転んでも、それでも絶対に立ちあがって、前に進もうとします。痛くて泣いても、立ち上がるのです。しかし大人になるにつれ、転ぶと、「なぜ転んだのか」を考え、「また転んだらどうしよう」と次になかなか進めなくなります。歳を重ね、成長する過程で、たくさんの錆をつけ素直さを隠してしまっているのです。
ジットは商品をつくる前に、「人」「心」を作る会社です。良い心がなければ良い商品は作れません。良い心がなければ仕事はできないのです。能力ではありません。赤ちゃんのような素直な心があれば、どんどん成長をしていきます。プラス思考で、何度転んでも立ち上がって、前へ進んでください。それが成長への道です。行動をお願いします。
Babies
Babies are unprejudiced creatures, a trait that makes them very positive and assertive. No matter how many times they fall down, be it 10 or 100 times, they will one day stand. Even if [the fall] hurts and they cry, they will still stand up. However, once we become adults, when we fall we think, “Why did I fall again? What should I do?” and it is very difficult for us to move forward. Through the process of maturing, our original unprejudiced nature becomes hidden under rust.
At JIT, before we make products we make people. We create spirits. If you do not have a good heart or a good spirit, you cannot make a good product; moreover, you will not be able to do your job. It is not a matter of intelligence: provided you have the unprejudiced heart of a baby, you will quickly grow and mature. Think positively and, no matter how many times you fall, stand up and go forward. This is the path to growth. I ask you to act.

何回も何回も言っていますが、反省とは行動です。いくら反省文を書いても、いくら反省の言葉を言っても、次には同じミスはしないと思っても、思っているだけでは何の意味もありません。思うだけ、反省するだけなら誰でもできます。失敗をしたあと、どうするかです。思っているだけでは必ず次に同じミスを繰り返します。先日の社員の日報に、「行動しようと思います。」という言葉がありました。これも同じです。心が文章にも表れます。「思います」と言っているうちは、きっと何も変わりません。「思います。」ではなく「行動をします」行動するのです。
失敗は悪いことではありません。失敗は成長するチャンスです。その失敗をチャンスに変えるには、弱い自分と闘い、行動をして、自分を変えていくしかありません。失敗は成功のもと。考えている暇はありません。思ったら、行動あるのみです。反省は行動で示してください。気づいたら直ぐ、今行動です。
Reflection is Action
I have said this again and again but [let me say it one more time]: reflection is action. No matter how many reflections you write or say, no matter how much you think about how to avoid making the same mistake, if all you do is think there is no meaning in it. Anyone can think. Anyone can reflect. The question is what to do after you have failed. If all you do is think you are doomed to repeat the same mistake. In a recent daily report from one of my employees, she wrote, “I plan to act.” This is the same as simply thinking and it shows what is going on in her heart. As long as you are saying things like “I plan,” nothing will change. Instead of “I plan,” it should be “I will act.”
Failures are not bad things but rather opportunities for growth. In order to turn a failure into an opportunity, you have no choice but to fight against your weak points and act to change yourself. Failure is the root of success. There is no time to think. Once you think of something, there is only action. Show your reflections through your actions. Once you notice something, act immediately. Act now.

先週末も、ヴァンフォーレ甲府の試合がありました。4対1で勝ち私もとてもうれしいです。先日もジットのブースでインクの販売を行いました。そして、先日おにぎりを持ってきてくださったお客様が、また足を運んでくれました。先日社員がおいしいと言って食べてくれたのでということで、またおいしいおにぎりを作ってくださったそうです。本当に有難うございます。今回もおいしく、うれしく頂きました。それに加えて、娘さんが作ってくれた飾りも頂きました。とても可愛く、とてもうれしく拝見しました。大切に飾らせて頂きます。

ヴァンフォーレ甲府の試合の度に、ジットブースを設置をさせて頂いてから、本当に多くに方に足を運んで頂いています。応援の度に足を運んでくれたり、空のカートリッジをもってきてくれたりと、気にかけてくれる人がたくさんいます。感謝の一言です。気にかけてくださって、応援してくださる人がいるというとはとてもありがたく、嬉しいことです。期待に応えられるように、そして少しでも感謝の気持ちを伝えられるように、もっともっと全力で、良い商品を作っていきます。皆さんも行動あるのみです。感謝の気持ちを行動に移してください。
The JIT Booth
Recently, Ventforet had another soccer match and won, 4 to 1. This made me very happy. [As per usual,] JIT once again sold ink from our booth at the stadium and, once again, the man who recently made and brought our employees onigiri visited the booth. Claiming that he was moved by our employees’ enthusiasm over the onigiri he brought last time, he made and brought us more delicious rice balls. Thank you so much, sir. These onigiri were also delicious and brought us tremendous joy. In addition to the onigiri, he also brought us the placards you see below, a gift from his daughter who made them [in school]. We will treasure these adorable gifts.
Every time we sell our ink at the Ventforet games, we are honored by the many people who visit the booth. Whether they come to support JIT, to return used ink cartridges, or simply out of curiosity, we are grateful for the many people who come. This is something for which we are truly happy and grateful. We will continue to put our all into creating good products, through which we hope to fulfill others’ expectations and express our gratitude. We are nothing without action. Please infuse your actions with gratitude.

先日もご縁を頂き、以前より会いたかった方にお会いする機会を頂きました。また、わざわざ東京まで同行をして頂きました。先方様にも、ご縁を頂いた社長様にも本当に感謝いたします。
縁は必ず廻り廻ってきます。両親を始めとして、先祖が一生懸命に話をし、周りの人とかかわり、縁を大切にしてきたから、今私がこうして沢山の方よりご縁を頂いています。幸せも、お金も、縁もすべて廻ってきます。今、この時だけをみれば損だと感じることがあるかもしれません。でも、違います。何年後、何十年後、何百年後に必ず自分や自分の息子や娘、子孫に返ってきます。良いことをすれば、良いことが返ってくるし、悪いことをすれば、必ず悪いことが返ってくる。それが縁です。
自分のため、人のため、社会のため、山梨のために今を全力で、人と人との繋がりを大切に生きてください。 やがて日本、地域社会、家族、子孫が幸せになります 。今のこの一瞬一瞬を大切に、行動をお願いします。
The Bonds of Karma
The other day, I was blessed yet again to connect with someone. I have wanted to meet this person for a while and was finally given an opportunity to do so when he came all the way to Tokyo. I am truly grateful to both the people who set up the meeting as well as the person I met.
The bonds of fate have certainly circled back to me. It is because I heard the strong stories of my ancestors, beginning with my parents, and because I valued these connections that I now have bonds with so many people. Whether it is happiness, money, or bonds [between people], all things [in life] rotate in a cyclical fashion. If you look only at what is happening right now, you will probably feel a sense of loss or disadvantage. However, such feelings are wrong. No matter how long – whether several years, several decades, or several centuries – [whatever you lost] will come back to you. If you do something good, something good will come back to you. [Conversely,] if you do something bad, something bad will, without fail, come back to you. This is karma.
Please, for yourself, for those around you, for society, and for Yamanashi, please live right now with your entire being. Live valuing your connections with others. Eventually Japan, your community, your family, and your descendants will be happy. I ask that you value each moment and act.

問題や改善がないということは一生ありません。あるとしたら、その時が人生の終わりです。決してゴールはありません。
何か問題が起きたら、きちんとその事象に目を向けください。なぜ失敗したのか反省をして、次に同じ失敗をしないように行動をしてください。叱った人の目を見てその人の様子を伺うのではなく、起こった事象をみるのです。問題が起きたら、自分に置き換え、行動するしかありません。それが成長です。全てのことを謙虚に受け止め、日々改善、成長をしていってください。
今や誰もが知っている家電量販店様も、今の社長様が1代で築きあげ、これだけの大企業になっています。
何においても、全員にチャンスが与えられています。将来どうしたいか、しっかりとした夢を持ち、どれだけ一生懸命頑張れるかでその人の人生が変わります。どれだけ強く思うか。強く思えば行動をします。1人の時間に勉強をします。1人の時間を大切にしてください。将来どうしたいか、しっかりとビジョンを持ち、強く思って行動をしてください。努力は必ず実を結びます。どれだけ弱い自分に打ち勝てるかです。一人一人が行動をすれば必ず、会社が成長します。夢は叶います。行動をお願いします。
Strong Thought and Action
“Problems” are not the same as “a lack of improvement.” The day those two are the same is the day life ends. It is not the goal.
Whenever a problem arises, please focus on the issue. Think about why the failure occurred and what you should do to avoid repeating the same mistake. Look at the eyes of someone who has scolded [someone else] and you will see not their appearance but rather the problem that occurred. When a problem arises, there is nothing to do but act. That is growth. Please take things in a humble manner and daily seek improvement and growth.
The president of a well-known high-volume electronics company built a huge company in the space of one lifetime. At this company, all employees are given a chance at anything. “What do you want to do in the future?” The person’s life changes based solely on how hard he works toward this dream and on how strongly he wants it. If you are passionate about something, act [on it]. Use your time to study. Value your time. Hard works breeds results. It’s all about how well you can overcome your weak points. If each of us acts, our company will certainly grow. Our dream will come true. I ask that you act.

半年ほど前に読んだ本の中に「声を聞けばその人がどういう状態かがわかる」と書いてありました。その時はよくわかりませんでしたが、最近は少しわかるようになりました。
以前お仏壇のはせがわの長谷川会長様が来社された時、朝の全体朝礼でお話をして頂きました。その時の長谷川会長の声は本当に大きく、心に響いたことを今でも鮮明に覚えています。あれほど大きいく、みんなの心を揺さぶったのは、そこに長谷川会長様の念いが詰まっていたからです。一生懸命お話をしてくださったからあれだけ心に残っているのです。
小さい声で、無表情では何を言いたいのかわかりません。魅力がる人、この人についていきたいと思う人、応援したいと思う人は、絶対に一生懸命な人です。そしてそういう人は必ず声が大きいです。声は気持ちを伝える方法の1つです。声はとても大切です。いつでも大きく、張りのある声で、一生懸命行動をしてください。念いを周りに伝えてください。
Voice
Roughly six months ago I read a book that talked about how “through listening to a person’s voice you can know what he is feeling.” At the time I did not have a firm understanding of what the author was saying; however, lately I have begun to understand.
A few months ago, a Buddhist leader named Mr. Hasegawa visited our office and gave a talk at our all-staff morning assembly. His voice at the time was very loud and I can still recall clearly the words that struck my heart. The reason his voice was so loud and his words shook the hearts of those listening is that his speech was full with his thoughts and feelings. It was because he spoke fervently that his speech remains in my heart as much as it does.
I cannot understand what a person says when he speaks in a small, expressionless voice. Attractive people, those who wish to be attractive people, and those people who want to help others are, without fail, hard working. Moreover, such people unfailingly have big voices. The voice is one way of communicating your feelings [and as such] is very important. No matter when, please work hard and have a loud, full voice. Communicate your thoughts to those around you.
