JIT has formed affiliations with major consumer electronics retailers to raise funds for underprivileged children around the world. Ten yen will be donated to volunteer organizations for every used ink cartridge collected at major consumer electronics retail stores.

Three objectives

Ink collected at major electronics consumer retailers is recovered and resold by JIT.

On January 29, 2008, the Inaugural Fundraising Presentation Ceremony was held to present the fund-raising register

On January 29, 2008, we held our Inaugural Fundraising Presentation Ceremony for ‘fundraising activities for children’s futures’. We presented the Japan NGO Center for International Cooperation (JANIC), a designated nonprofit corporation, and the Foundation for Orphans from Automobile Accidents with registers of donations totaling JPY 3,151,500.

We received certificates of appreciation from two organizations: JANIC and the Foundation for Orphans from Automobile Accidents

On May 13, 2008, we received certificates of appreciation from the Japan NGO Center for International Cooperation (JANIC), a designated nonprofit corporation, and the Foundation for Orphans from Automobile Accidents, for our ‘fundraising activities for children’s futures’.

We have donated a total of JPY 31,593,270 since November, 2007.

We held our 9th Fundraising Presentation on February 5, where we donated a total of JPY 3,800,040 (being for the 380,004 used cartridges collected between October 21, 2009, and January 20, 2010) to two organizations: JANIC (Japan NGO Center for International Cooperation, a designated nonprofit corporation) and the Foundation for Orphans from Automobile Accidents.

We would like to warmly thank every single person who has supported the objective of our fundraising activities for the future of underprivileged children, by allowing us to collect their used ink cartridges. In order to repay this cooperation, we will continue to recover used ink cartridges and use these to further enhance our objectives of ‘supporting the future of underprivileged children’, our ‘initiative towards becoming an environmental recycling society’, and ‘reducing waste and lowering CO2 emissions through reuse of empty ink cartridges’.
